October 2nd 2012

So I made it. One more trip around the sun. One more year under my belt. And it has been a darn good year. Last October I was basically a brand new business owner. I think October was the first month we paid rent on the Mill Valley space. It was scary and exciting all at the same time. What would become of the business? My dreams were big and still are. One year later so many of those dreams have come true. I have an amazing group of people that I get to share my life with. I cannot get enough.

I’m blessed with the ability in my life to commit to a sport that I love. I get to live and breath health and fitness. I get to train hard 10 or more times a week. I have a tremendous coach and guide in my training and growth as an athlete. It is a special time in my life and 28 years old feels as good as any other year.

The Days Work
4:30am – Wake up to some nice surprises around the house.

*Made the ladies run the Larkspur Stairs for their workout today. Still a crazy tough test that crushes everyone, no exceptions.

11:00am – New client meeting and two great ladies at that. Can’t wait to see them both take on a new chapter in their fitness.

1:45 Lunch – Southwestern Chicken Salad

2-3pm – Client who is making crazy progress. Couldn’t go a day without back pain several months ago. Today was able to front squat and swing kettlebells like a champ. Proper progression and commitment can and will help heal.

4pm – Training Part 3

60min Flow Session – Played with a bunch of skills at low intensity

Dinner – Tuesday Night Chicken and Potatoes
*Truck operator of Roli Roti Rotisserie wants to park his truck near the gym once a week year around. He thinks he needs to bribe me in order to do that. So he gave me a free potato this evening. This guy has no idea that I’m full on addicted to his stuff and I’m going to probably beg him to park next to our gym when the time comes. But I’ll take the free stuff as long as he is willing to give it to me. Dinner was a treat from Megan for my birthday. Thanks for the foods hun.

Dessert – Paleo almond cake made by Momma Filly. Pretty much almonds, butter, egg, and some stevia with nuts and raisons. Candle vessel as my mother says. Needed to blow out the candles.

End of the day and time to say goodnight to a great celebratory day. Thanks to everyone who made it that much more special.
