Wrapping Up the Weekend

After a great day of testing on Saturday my body was understandably a little fatigued. HRV was low but soreness wasn’t too bad. I was excited to get into the gym and wrap up the weekend. Up on deck was a 30mins session that the previous 2 weekends I hadn’t done the best job of enduring.

*Today felt heaps better than the last two Sundays. My pace stayed consistent albeit a little slower than the start to last weekends MAP training. But I stayed focused, never got frantic with my breathing, and I was just as powerful at the end as when I started. The legs started to feel a bit juiced on the last sets of lunges and box jumps. Other than that I was able to hold a consistent 85%.

Finished off the weekend with a great dinner with my parents and Megan. If you are looking for a safe and delicious meal in Marin, you can count on the Roasted Chicken or Flat Iron Steak from Boca in the village shopping center. Ask for a Rustica salad to start things off and get a side of the Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Pancetta. Don’t freak with there is a little cheese on the brussels and the salad. It will not hurt. But ditch the croutons… such a bad idea.
